RightStuf Giant Bargain Bin Sale: Kaiba T-Shirts

They’re having a Bargain Bin blowout at RightStuf right now.

They are currently selling a $30 Kaiba shirt for $6.

The Aforementioned Kaiba Shirt

You know…I’d get it if it weren’t only in Youth sizes. Because Kaiba’s cool. As cheesy and embarrassing as the above shirt may be, I’d probably still buy it.

It’s the 社長萌え at work!

In all seriousness though, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a shirt that blatantly had an anime character on it. I have had shirts with Calvin and Hobbes on it, and shirts with Kodamas. Kodamas don’t count, do they?

I try to stay away from shirts that have outright images on them. It’s sort of like backpacks or bags, too. I like subtle bags that don’t just ahvea  screencap of a character on them. Like the Ghost in the Shell Laughing Man messenger bag. Or that Fruits Basket bag that had Yuki (as an animal) on it. Heck, even e-capcom’s WENDY OLDBAG bag is classier than most anime-themed bags I see around today.

So what’s my point? Nothing, except the force of the 社長萌え is strong…very strong.

I probably also like him because I like almost all anti-heroes I meet in a story.

Yu-Gi-Oh spoilers follow.

社長萌え has been distracting me from studies.

What should I do? Every time I log onto my computer with good intentions of studying or using online resources, I end up drifting over to niconico and watching a bunch of Kaiba parodies.

I never watched Yu-Gi-Oh too closely during the Saturday morning cartoons. Mostly because I found it weird whenever Yami Yugi came out, and had his extremely commanding voice…as compared to regular Yugi’s timid voice.

I did find Kaiba interesting, if not psychotic. But I didn’t have the same fascination with him that I now have today.

It was only after seeing several very good parodies and learning more about Kaiba courtesy of Google and Wikipedia, that I began to like Kaiba.
